I am first a Mom with two small boys and a seafaring husband. I have also taught in public schools over the last eight years. It’s amazing how life unfolds and presents opportunities you never dreamed of! Post-partum anxiety and exhaustion drew me into the world of studying and using essential oils and herbs to effectively alleviate my symptoms. I also developed a passion for using oils and herbs in many different kinds of my own homemade, natural cosmetic applications, such as lotions, crèmes, salves, soap, even natural bug repellent.

Inevitably, I became very conscious of labeling on cosmetic products in stores, often frustrated by the shelves full of potentially harmful ingredients, and especially synthetic fragrance. We think, ‘If they are allowed to have it in their ingredients…it must be safe!’ And so we unquestioningly apply synthetic chemicals to our bodies that we cannot pronounce and throw away what we do not consume to our waste water or landfill.

At some point I started paying attention to the ingredients listed on the packages of baby wipes and was generally horrified at what we are putting on our babies’ skin. At around the same time I became interested in the idea of clothing made of bamboo fiber (100% renewable and biodegradable). Then all of the sudden it dawned on me…bamboo non-woven fiber baby wipes with safe and gentle ingredients for babies! That was back in 2007. I currently reside on Cape Cod with my two boys, husband, and dog Ginger.
